What we collect
- On venue registration: venue name, admin email and password (stored as a hash)
- Menu content: dish names, descriptions, prices and photos you upload
- Guest orders: selected dishes and preferences — shown to the waiter only, no personal guest data is collected
- Anonymized menu-visit statistics (language, time) — used for weekly reports to the venue
- Telegram chat ID — only if you connect report delivery yourself
How data is used
- To run the digital menu and generate the QR code
- Menu photos and text may be processed by AI (OpenAI) to auto-fill dish cards
- For the weekly report sent to the venue admin
Storage and access
Data is stored on Carte's servers. Access to the admin panel is password-protected. We do not sell or share your data with third parties, except services required to run the app (e.g. AI menu processing).
